Keep Clean Label Claims Safe With Organic Tapioca Resistant Dextrin

Organic and non-GMO brands work hard to win consumer trust. Yet a single ingredient choice can quietly put that trust at risk—adding hidden sugars, creating GMO doubts, or causing digestive discomfort. Actually, resistant dextrin and soluble corn fiber derived from non-GMO corn and organic tapioca offer a robust solution. They provide formulators with a clean-label dietary fiber ingredient that is traceable, label-friendly, and technically reliable for low-sugar, high-fiber product development.

What Is Our Resistant Dextrin?

Resistant dextrin (also known as resistant maltodextrin or soluble corn fiber depending on the specific product line) is a versatile, water-soluble dietary fiber derived from starch. In our Shine Health portfolio, we produce it mainly from premium corn starch. We also offer natural resistant dextrin sourced from imported cassava and organic non-GMO tapioca to meet diverse dietary needs.

During our advanced production process, the starch undergoes controlled enzymatic hydrolysis followed by repolymerization. This creates new glycosidic bonds that cannot be easily broken down by digestive enzymes in the human gastrointestinal tract. Consequently, our resistant dextrin:

  • Bypasses digestion in the small intestine.
  • Enters the large intestine intact as a valuable dietary fiber.
  • Gets fermented by gut bacteria, acting as a highly effective soluble, prebiotic fiber.
  • Serves as an excellent low-calorie food raw material.

From a formulation perspective, it behaves much like a functional carbohydrate, yet it contributes virtually no sugar. This makes it an ideal fit for clean-label positioning.

Simplified Production Process
Starch (corn, cassava, or tapioca) → precise partial hydrolysis → repolymerization → premium water-soluble dietary fiber (resistant dextrin)
